Licences are paid for, but people don’t know what the tools are good at or how to give them the right context.
One day. One workflow. A working first version.
Hands-on AI training for your team, built on its own work. They leave with a working first version and a plan to test it before anyone relies on it.
Sam Talasila Former Head of LLMs & Data Products, Wealthsimple
For a team that wants to learn by building.
It suits smaller financial-services firms such as mortgage brokerages, alternative lenders, credit unions, and wealth and insurance brokerages.
The team needs one shared, practical first version to react to, not another slide deck about AI.
You’d like people to understand the tools first, so a later decision about a workflow starts from experience.
From how it works to something that runs.
Every session uses your approved tools and your own examples.
- Before the day
Get approvals in place.
Your IT, security and third-party risk teams approve the tools and any connectors. If they aren’t approved in time, we use sample data.
- Morning
How the tools work.
What AI tools are good and bad at, chat compared with agent tools, and how to give them your firm’s context through projects.
- Midday
Connect your work.
Using pre-approved connectors only, we bring in the documents and systems the team actually uses.
- Afternoon
Build it.
Each person builds one reusable helper for a weekly task. Together, the team builds a first version of one shared workflow and a plan to test it.
AI Champions training
“Will our people actually use it?”
AI use was uneven. I ran weekly short sessions for a group from underwriting, sales, legal and development, each built on a real task from someone in the room. By the third week, eight people had a win to share.
Read the case study ↗︎Two kinds of done.
Working, and honest about it.
- Personal weekly tasks: each person leaves with a helper that may already be running.
- The shared workflow: a working first version and a test plan. Nobody should rely on it until it has been tested on real cases.
Not a shortcut past the evidence.
- Not a way to put a consequential workflow into use without testing
- Not unapproved tools, or client data outside your firm’s rules
- Not a replacement for a Decision Sprint when the decision matters
Where the day can lead.
Your team carries on.
People keep using and improving the helpers they built, within your firm’s rules.
A Decision Sprint.
Test the shared workflow on real cases and decide what to do with it. The workshop fee is credited if you sign within 60 days. About the sprint ↗︎
Nothing more for now.
A team that understands the tools is a good result on its own.
The day, and what comes after.
It uses the same approach as the AI Champions sessions I ran at one lender: every exercise starts from a real task someone in the room does each week.
- The dayOne team, one workflow, your approved tools and your own examples.
- Helper libraryEvery prompt and helper built on the day, written up so the team can reuse and share them.
- 30-day check-inAn hour a month later to fix whatever isn’t sticking.
- Full fee creditThe whole fee counts toward a Decision Sprint signed within 60 days.
Working Helper Guarantee
Everyone in the room leaves with a helper running on a real weekly task. If anyone doesn’t, I come back for a free half-day.
This holds once your IT team has approved the tools before the day.
I run two workshops a month. Each one is prepared around your team’s own examples.
The fee credit lasts 60 days, so book the day when a Sprint decision is within reach.
At one lenderWeekly sessions built on real tasks had eight people with a win to share by the third week.
Before you book.
Does everyone need to be technical?
No. The day is for the people who do the work. If someone can describe a weekly task, they can build a helper for it.
Which tools do you teach?
The ones your firm already approves. The ideas carry across tools, so the workshop isn’t tied to one vendor.
Can we use real client files?
Only if your firm has approved the tools and connectors for that data before the day. Otherwise we work with sample data that looks like your cases.
Should we start here or with a Decision Sprint?
Start here if the team needs practice first. Start with a Decision Sprint if a specific decision is already on the table. We can decide on a short call.
Can you run this for our leadership team?
Yes, as a half-day. We cover what the tools can and can’t do in your operations and where AI is already being used, and we rank the decisions on your table. You leave with a short written list of what to decide next.
Which workflow would your team build?
In 30 minutes, tell me about your team and one weekly workflow. We’ll see whether the Workshop, a Decision Sprint, or neither is the right first step.
